Headteacher's Welcome
As Headteacher of St Peter's, I would like to welcome you to our school.
St Peter's Primary School is set in the small market town of Market Bosworth. We are surrounded by local history and the school is an integral part of the local community and our St Peter's church.
Our academy focus is 'Inspiring learning for life', and with inclusion at the forefront of our school vision, we have high expectations for all pupils.
At St Peter's our children are the most important people in our St Peter's family, but we take enormous pleasure in working with and getting to know our school families.
We provide a well balanced, sequenced curriculum which has a high level of engagement. We encourage a culture of excellence in all we do. As a Church of England primary school, St Peter's embeds Christian values and our St Peter's way guides our children to be Kind, respectful, resilient, creative and hardworking. Our behaviour policy teaches them that we can learn from our mistakes. Our ethos is to gain wisdom through restorative conversations and reflection.
St Peter's has the most amazing outdoor space. In our Forest area we engage with outside den building, campfire activities and the children learn about wildlife and plant life. We have a MUGA for all weather sports, table tennis and basketball hoops for sports play and our 'Happy lunchtimes' encourage children to play constructively and include everyone.
We teach our children to be independent and to take on responsibilities in school such as School council, Peer Mediators and digital leaders.
Our House Captains lead our school teams named after local places of significance : Bradgate, Foxton, De Montfort and Beacon and our children take pride in receiving house points and rewards.
St Peter's is a safe, welcoming & happy place to learn.
We look forward to sharing this with you.
Emily Holt (Headteacher).
